Breakfast in the 'Burg:
There's a small waterfront park in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) with gorgeous views of Manhattan. Nice place to picnic, tan or read. Get off at Bedford Ave. stop (L Train), turn west on N8th st and walk down N8th Street until you reach Kent Ave. You'll see the park in front of you. At the first left onto N8th St. from Bedford Ave there's a cute Polish bakery called Northside Bakery that serves eggs and bacon and yummy pastries.
Cost = roughly $10 (for two ppl)
Lunch in East Village:
S'mac (Sarita's Macaroni & Cheese) - 12th Street between 1st & 2nd Ave
A variety of Mac'n'Cheeses served in hot skillets is perfect for a casual, fun lunch. I suggest getting two Nosh-sizes and sharing because it's a lot more than it looks. I like the Alpine (gruyere + slab bacon) and Garden Lite (lite cheddar, parmesan, roasted cauliflower and portobello mushrooms, roasted garlic, broccoli + scallions).
Cost = almost $20 (for two ppl)
16 Handles - 2nd Ave between 9th and 10th Street
What do girls love more than Frozen Yogurt?? NOTHING, except maybe having 16 flavors of frozen yogurt and self-serve topping station. 16 Handles is the best way to end a heavy lunch of MacNCheese. Also, S'mac is really close to 16 Handles.
Cost = depends how crazy you go with the toppings but no more than $10 (for two ppl)

After-lunch Boat ride in Central Park:
When the weather is nice and warm, a boat ride on The Lake in Central Park near the Loeb Boathouse is gorgeous. You get to row a boat for only $12/hr, and the boat seats up to four. There is a $20 deposit that's refunded on your way out. I suggest going on a weekday when the lake isn't so crowded.
Cost = $12 *The website's $30 cash deposit is incorrect, it's only $20. CASH ONLY.
"I'M ON A BOAT !"
